Meet Our Staff!

Kenny
Kenny is co-owner and has worked as a guide and in retail
over 30 years. Since his childhood, he and his father,
who was born in the Little Cataloochee Valley and whose
relatives Palmer Creek was named after, would fly fish
all over the Smoky's and Western North Carolina.
Kenny and his partner won the first ever 2003 Southeastern
Fly Fishing Master's competition sponsored by OLN and
continued to represent our area in the national 2003
Fly Fishing Masters. He has been featured in Our State
Magazine. He is considered one of the topmost fishing
guides in the area to go to whether fishing our mountain
streams or the renowned tailwaters in Eastern Tennessee.
He is most knowledgeable concerning the fly fishing industry. |

Susan
Susan is co-owner and grew up in the Black Mountain
area. As a retired Biology teacher,
she is
passionate
about
the outdoors
and has been fly fishing since
1992.
Susan attended Joan Wulff's Fly
Casting
Instructor's
school in 2007. She is involved with
store retail, planning instructional programs, and
guides in her spare time. |

Jerry
Jerry is a native Western North Carolinian who has been
fly fishing all his life and guiding for over 20
years. He has a love of both our local streams and
local bluegrass
music.
Jerry is
perfectly
at home guiding on our small mountain streams and our
Tennessee tailwaters. Jerry is
a musician and formerly hosted "Goin'
Across the Mountain" on WNCW
Radio every Saturday afternoon. His wealth of knowledge
about fishing and
Bluegrass music will certainly keep you entertained. |

Keith
Keith is a native of Waynesville, NC. His great grandfather was one of the original pioneers that settled Hazel Creek, considered one of the best trout streams in the Smokies. Keith has been fascinated by clear mountain streams and trout since he was a kid. He has been fly fishing for over 40 years. Keith loves wading and floating the South Holston and Watauga tailwaters in Tennessee. Some of his other interests include stone masonry, skiing, painting, bluegrass guitar, and cycling. Keith loves sharing his knowledge of fly fishing with others, especially out on the stream with fly rod in hand! |
